A .laycraft package contains the server-owned editor state and metadata needed to open the project again.

Download a project copy

    Open the project menu

    Use the project controls in the editor's top bar.

    Choose export

    Laycraft packages the current editor session and downloads a file named after the project.

  3. 03

    Store the file safely

    Keep it with your project records. It is project data, not a generic 3D exchange format.

Open an existing file

Choose a .laycraft file from the project controls. Laycraft validates the package before replacing the current editor session.

Cloud projects

When a project is connected to Laycraft Cloud, saving creates a durable server revision. A downloaded project file is a portable copy; it does not replace your organization's revision and approval workflow.
