Select objects, lifts, bays, and scaffolds
Choose how much of the model your next edit affects.
Choose a selection mode
- Open Select in the top toolbar.
- Choose a mode, then click the part of the model you want to work with.
- Check the highlight and the selection inspector before editing.

Extend a selection
| Gesture | Result |

| Shift-click | Add an item to the selection. |
| Shift + Command-click in Lift or Bay mode | Select a rectangular range from the current selection to the clicked lift or bay. |
| Shift + Command + Option-click in Lift mode | Select every lift at that level. |
| Command-click in Normal mode | Pick a reference face when available. |
Select with a box
- Click empty space to set the first corner.
- Move the pointer to frame the objects.
- Click the second corner to finish. Press Esc to cancel.
In Normal mode, hold Shift for the second click to add the box contents. A box in Lift, Bay, or Scaffold mode replaces the selection. An empty box clears the selection, except when adding with Shift in Normal mode.
