Cancel or undo

Cancel an unfinished operation before selecting another tool. Undo and Redo apply to edit history; they are separate from saving a project revision.

When an edit cannot be applied

1. Read the status message and check the selected scope.
2. Check catalog sizes, available connections, and the ground or reference at the proposed position.
3. Open Advanced > Logs, or press L, to inspect the action details.
4. Adjust the selection or input, then try the action again.

A retained preview is still a proposal. Do not assume an edit completed until the result is shown. If an arrangement preview becomes outdated, use Preview again.
