Get to know the editor

Find your tools, inspect a selection, and make your first edit.

Find your way around

Area	Use it to
Top toolbar	Select, Create, Modify, Measure, and Build. Open Select, Create, or Build to choose a mode.
Viewport	Place objects, inspect highlights, and work with tool previews.
Bottom toolbar	Choose a workflow and view, show the grid, and set snapping.
Right panel	Change the active tool’s options or inspect the current selection. Press H to return home.
Toolbar beside the right panel	Open the available component settings or frame your selection.
Right panel header	Open File, Import, and Advanced.

Make an edit

Choose Build > Scaffold.
Choose a Scaffold system in Build Preferences.
Click to set an anchor, move to size the footprint, then click again to build.
Choose Select > Scaffold, click the scaffold, and press Shift + F to frame it.
Choose Modify to change its size or position. Read the status message before releasing a handle.
